  • During my first year teaching at Glenn School, I also graduated from massage school and became a licensed massage therapist. I ended up sticking with preschool though!

  • My favorite game is Yahtzee and I’m really crazy about my new yard game version, Rollzee!

Creating a loving learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and community is the foundation of my teaching philosophy while also providing individualized support to build trust, confidence, and independence for lifelong learning.

  • My husband and I have 3 children and my 3rd child is 18 years younger than my middle child.

  • I have lived in many states after leaving Guam at age 18. I lived in Colorado, Tennessee, Wisconsin, New Mexico, and now Georgia.

I believe that all children deserve to be part of a learning environment where they feel comfortable and welcome and where they are academically challenged, encouraged to have fun, engaged in the material, and holistically nurtured.

  • For my 30th birthday, I hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and stayed at Phantom Ranch.  

  • I played Granny in my Jr. High production of The Beverly Hillbillies.

  • The beach is my happy place.

The reciprocity in the student/teacher relationship is beautiful. Through open hearts and minds, teachers have the privilege to guide and coach little minds, while teachers gain new perspectives on how to best serve children.

Our goals for toddlers are separation and trust. With patience and love, we help each child successfully leave their parent to join our classroom. They learn to trust us and the classroom environment. Group social activities guide our class day.

Preschool should be a place where children can learn through play. We want our children to love coming to school. Preschool is about building community, not just for the children but for the parents.
