Lunch Bunch

Glenn School Lunch Bunch is an extra hour added to our regular scheduled school day that provides an unstructured social enrichment time for our Glenn School Threes, Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Beginning at 12 noon until 1:00 participating children eat lunch together and enjoy some additional play with their friends.

Lunch Bunch is offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and there is an $8 fee per day for each day your child is registered. Enrollment is offered on a first come, first served basis for two semesters during the upcoming school year (Sept.-Dec. and Jan. – May). Lunch Bunch is held in the Glenn School classrooms and on the Glenn playground. Each group will be overseen by two experienced Glenn School staff members. The playground will be closed to the public and to Glenn School students not registered for Lunch Bunch (or Kindergarten) during the Lunch Bunch hour. Lunch Bunch carpool begins at 12:55pm and continues until 1:00pm. The same carpool rules apply for Lunch Bunch carpool as during noontime carpool.

Each child attending Lunch Bunch needs to arrive to Glenn School with their own packed nutritious and labeled lunch. Glenn School has a NO NUT policy and any nut product will be saved and sent back home. Please label any soy or sunbutter products for clarity. Heating or refrigerating lunches will not be feasible, a thermos and/or ice pack usually do the trick. Lunch Bunch teachers encourage students to eat their meals, but as this is a highly social time, they often are busy practicing their conversational skills more than eating.

All children attending Lunch Bunch are required to be toilet trained and ready for an extended day. Lunch Bunch is intended to add more fun to your child’s day, not create an unhappy ending.
